BANKWEST Power Checking is a unique, no minimum-balance checking account that rewards customers with .25 to .10% APY* earnings and automatic refunds on ATM fees for helping the bank operate more efficiently. By using services such as internet banking, electronic statements and debit cards, customers save BANKWEST money, thus making us more efficient. That’s how BANKWEST can reward customers with this exceptional rate!
To receive the high interest and the ATM fee refunds, Power Checking account holders must meet the power rate requirements each qualification cycle:

- Access Internet Banking
- Have One Direct Deposit or One Automatic Payment post and clear
- Receive Electronic Statement (valid email address required)
- Have 10 Debit Card Point of Sale Transactions post and clear
If the requirements are not met during the qualification cycle, customers will still enjoy a checking account with internet banking and online bill pay, but will not receive the bonus rate of interest or ATM refunds for that qualification period. However, customers will earn 0.05% APY* on the balances in the account and customers can always qualify during the next statement cycle! (There is no fee for ATM transactions at BANKWEST ATMs, but $1.50 at other ATMs. Additional fees may also apply at other non-BANKWEST owned ATMs.)
There is a $100 minimum balance to open but no minimum to maintain and absolutely no service charge for the Power Checking account. Power Checking accounts are for personal checking customers.

If requirements per qualification cycle are not satisfied, the account then functions as a checking account earning 0.05% APY; however, it will not receive ATM fee refunds for that time period.
